Derrik was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana where corn fields are plentiful and has lived in Missouri, Oregon, and Oklahoma before landing in Texas(aka the promised land). He has always carried a love to serve and a desire to connect, encourage, and see lives transformed by God’s purpose.

When he was 12 he was given the opportunity to learn how to run a soundboard for a youth service and discovered a love for utilizing technology to serve the Body. He has volunteered in sound booths across a handful of churches over the past 20+ years.

In his day job throughout the week, he works in software sales, and on Sunday mornings you can find him worshipping up front or serving at the soundboard.

In his spare time he loves spending time with his wife Crystal while drinking coffee(and also without drinking coffee), hammocking, keeping up to date on his fantasy sports teams(reigning fantasy football league champion, thank you Jesus!), and learning new things whether that is something technical or learning something new about a friend.
